Brenda Kahn comes to Ejecta Projects with a new book of poetry Ode to Chores: the Good, the Bad and the Laundry released January 2019 on South Salem Press. The book is dedicated to moms who would like to think beyond the next pile of dishes and rediscover what it is to be a woman beyond a mother.
One Amazon reviewer put it this way:
“Wisdom to guide your best and worst days! Brenda eloquently captures those powerful moments in motherhood where the mundane collides with the existential. She reminds us that there is essential, meaningful work amidst all the chaos. Thank you!”
Brenda Kahn’s combination of Indie Rock energy (think Violent Femmes) mixed with Bob Dylanesque lyrical finesse has been a driving influence in women’s music since her debut in the early nineties. Her lyrics reveal the truth and beauty beneath everyday life and have drawn fans and audiences across the US and Europe. See more about her discography and press clippings at www.brendakahn.com
